Ervin Life Testing Machine
We have Ervin Life testing machine available with us which is the only device designated by SAE for the evaluation of metal abrasives. It can assist in making the best abrasive selection to ensure efficiency and the lowest possible cost in production use. The Ervin Test Machine will measure both the Durability (life) and Transmitted Energy (impact) of the abrasive, which are the two most important measures of value and quality.
We have tested various samples of different abrasives and found out the following results:-

Microstructure
Microstructure is closely related to the anti-fatique property of the steel shot/grit. A good microstructure result in greater impact resistnce and longer life durability.
Size Distribution
Every grade of steel shot/grit contains particles of different sizes. The number of particles in a certain weight decides the function of this grade steel shot/grit. A suitable size distribution can help to produce moderate kinetic energy and coverage, which is very critical to get the ideal surface treatment effect.
