Chilled Iron Shots And Grits

Chilled Iron shots made from carefully selected alloy free cast iron scrap that is re-carbonized in a hot blast furnace. It is used for cleaning in foundries, casting for sand removal. It is also used for cleaning of kettles and coppers, ingredient for ship weight or weight of fisher’s nets, filler for stong-rooms.

Chilled Iron grits is a white iron structure made from broken iron shot being heat-treated is of high hardness, a very hard, sharp angles which make it of high-speed spray etching and scraping ability. It is used for air blast applications, for removing of old paints, cleaning of castings and metallurgical materials, for blasting of stone, for cutting of stone. The grits are frequently used to etch structural steel and components prior to coating with paint, metal spray or plastics.

APPLICATIONS

Chilled Iron Shots/Grits is used in surface preparation for electroplating, enameling, painting. It is the lowest price abrasive, which can be used for granite sawing and granite block surface treatment and also for shot-blast cleaning of castings, forgings, rolled steel before and after heat treatment.
